The mother of a 19-year-old man who died in the clash between Police and the youth of Nkoranza on Tuesday, wants justice.
Madam Kwaa tells JoyNews that she would be appeased only when the officers who killed her only child, a son whose education she has laboured to support, are brought to justice.
The deceased, Victor Owusu, a final year student of the Nkoranza Technical Institute, was shot in the head when the youth went on rampage protesting the alleged killing of Albert Akwasi Donkor, a trader, by the Police.
An anguished mother of Victor, who last saw her son when he was leaving for school on Tuesday, accused the Police of killing an innocent person.
According to her, Victor who has been enrolled on an internship programme was on his way to work when he was shot in the head. He died instantly.
Amateur video footage showing the moments after the bullet hit the deceased and his lifeless body lying motionless with deep head injuries have been circulating in the Nkoranza community.
Mr. Owusu is the only person who died out of eight persons who received gunshot wounds in the clash between Police and the youth.
Managers of St. Theresa's Catholic Hospital who confirmed the casualties said some of the victims bled profusely with serious injuries on the chest, legs, etc.
