Ghanaians have expressed diverse reactions towards the opposition National Democratic Congress' 2020 manifesto launched on Monday.
This comes few hours after NDC’s flagbearer, John Mahama together with his running mate, Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang and some top NDC officials highlighted their policies and initiatives should they win the December polls.
In the 143 page document, titled ‘The People’s Manifesto’, the NDC pledged at least 18 free items across all sectors.
There was mention free primary healthcare, tertiary education to persons with a disability, seedlings for cocoa farmers under agriculture among others.
Although some Ghanaians cannot wait to vote the NDC into power to enjoy these freebies promised, others are skeptical about the numerous promises.
“With the promises it is easy to do it is left with the fulfilling. We just hope that whichever party wins power wouldn’t forget what they promised,” one said.
Another also added, “I know that NDC government was very greedy. So we know these plenty freebies are all lies.”
“I don’t trust human beings, so ones that they want the seat, they will say all sort of things, but when they come into office, they don’t do them.”
Also, some social media users have also been reacting to the news.
