The 2024 edition of Miss Malaika beauty pageant has been officially premiered on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
Out of the hundreds of brilliant females who applied to partake in the contest, thirty (30) delegates have been shortlisted to go through the transformational stage.
The season’s first episode, which was aired on Joy Prime, witnessed all contestants exude incredible prowess in various aspects of their lives to prove their worth.
All three judges, Naa-Oyoe, Hamamat, and Sharon, were impressed with the ladies’ performance. They shared whether or not their expectations were met.
“I always do have high expectations for Miss Malaika Ghana because we do really get a good crop, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. I was very impressed,” Naa-Oyoe shared.
For Hamamat, she said “it’s always authenticity, and you could see a lot of the ladies have it in them. There’s that glow waiting to pop up. So, it’s exciting to see.”
Also, judge Sharon shared that “I was looking for ladies that were purpose-driven, and I’m happy to say that I found that on the show. Particularly, a lot of ladies were trying to change the narrative, dominating the male-driven world. I’m happy to see that a lot of them did.”
The judges’ comments are a clear indication that all thirty selected delegates are poised for the competition.
However, they are looking forward to more innovativeness and enthusiasm among the shortlisted ladies at the transformational stage, where the number will be trimmed down to sixteen (16) to battle for the crown.
Organised by Charterhouse Productions, the thirteen-week episode will be shown live on Joy Prime and streamed on Facebook every Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
Catch the mix bag of excitement and emotions coupled with education and entertainment as the journey unfolds with Regina Van Helvert as the host.
