Morocco's Ministry of the Royal Household, Protocol, and Chancellery has cautioned the public about the spread of false and misleading photographs on social media, wrongly attributed to the late Princess Lalla Latifa.
"Following the announcement of the death of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa, may God have her in His Holy Mercy, it has been noted an unfortunate use on social networks, of inauthentic and misleading photographs, attributed to the late Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Latifa," the statement read.
The Ministry stated the importance of respecting both the relevant laws and the mourning period of the royal family.
"We urge all citizens to respect the relevant laws and the mourning of the Illustrious Royal Family," the press release concluded.
