Ahead of the touted US President Barrack Obama’s visit to Ghana, cloths branded with portraits of Presidents Mills and Obama have been produced and would soon be on the market.
According to Joy News report, the two first ladies, Michelle Obama and Naadu Mills would also have a separate cloth with their portraits embossed on it.
The American’s first couple and their entourage would touch the soils of Ghana on July 10 for a two-day state visit.
The historic visit would be the first time Mr Obama would be visiting any sub-Saharan Africa country in his official capacity after his election as President of America November last year.
According to information available to Joy News, Ghana Textile Print (GTP) has been contracted to print large quantity of the cloth for the market.
However, it is not clear who ordered for the printing; whilst some sources point at the President, others gave two unidentified persons – one in Accra and Kumasi respectively.
Moreover, government officials when contacted could not confirm if indeed the government was responsible for the deal.
