President John Evans Atta Mills will on Monday, May 3, launch the national campaign for Ghana's participation in the South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup.
The grand launch which is slated for the Ohene Djan Stadium, Accra is to officially commence the Black Stars participation at the quadrennial fiesta that comes to the continent for the first time.
The launch is also to enhance public awareness on the Black Stars participation at her second successive World Cup appearance and to raise the needed funds to support the team to chalk the needed success.
The event, being organized by the World Cup Committee in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports would be a cocktail of events that will be preceded by a float by the various supporters groups through the principal street of Accra.
Expected to spice up the program are musicians, entertainers and a possible international friendly between the local components of Ghana and Nigeria's senior national teams.
Officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Sports Council among others are expected to attend the occasion.
