President John Evans Atta Mills has appointed Dr. Sulley Gariba, an International Development Policy Specialist as a Development Policy Advisor in the Office of the President.
Dr. Gariba will advise on and support the preparation of a comprehensive strategy for the proposed Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) and assist in formulating the legislative framework, funding processes, and implementation steps for the set-up and smooth take-off of SADA.
A statement signed by Mr. Koku Anyidoho, Head of Communications at the presidency, said additionally, the Development Policy Advisor will be responsible for establishing a credible coordinating mechanism with Regional Coordinating Councils, District Assemblies, Ministries, Departments, Agencies, NGOs, and private sector agencies which have a stake in the fund.
Vice President John Dramani Mahama is the Chairman of the Policy Unit.
