Former Black Stars midfielder Michael Essien was in attendance to watch Ghanaian duo Michael Baidoo and Terry Yegbe in their Europa League qualifier against Sheriff Tiraspol on Thursday.
The two players were named in the starting line for Elfsborg who recorded a 2-0 win to advance into the next round of the qualifying round.
Baidoo was on the scoresheet for the second goal of the encounter at the Boras Arena in the 73rd minute for his fourth goal involvement in the qualifiers.
The attacking midfielder has two goals and two assists so far with his side playing two qualifying games already in the campaign as they aim to reach the group stage.
Yegbe, on the other hand, was heavily involved defensively as he kept the opposition team at bay throughout the night.
Baidoo, on the back of a good campaign last season, has been heavily linked with a move away from Elfsborg this summer.
