Three Chief Operating Officers and the Chief Human Resource Business Partner from the Multimedia Group Limited (MGL) are among 4,500 business executives representing 65 countries attending the 7th World Business Forum which opened at the Radio City Hall in New York, USA Tuesday.
The team from the MGL are Messrs Klaus Vonbackustein, Ekyi Quarm and Kenneth Ashigbey, (COOs) representing Adom Division, Joy Division and Multi TV respectively and Mrs. Jane Ohenewa Gyekye, the Chief Human Resource Business Partner.
The 2010 World Business Forum which brings together an incredible line-up of world leaders, speakers and business executives is specifically tailored to provide latest insights on three overarching areas critical to the success of organization.
The World Business Forum responds to what is happening in the world now in various critical areas including global financial markets, social media, healthcare and the future of globalization.
The theme for this year’s gathering is “Strategy, Innovation and Communication”.
The first session of the 2010 forum was delivered by Jim Collins, Author of “Sustaining Great Results”, with special focus on achieving greatness in an unpredictable, uncertain and unforgiving environment.
Jim Collins is a student of enduring great companies and how they attain superior performance. Fortune magazine has described him as one of the most influential management thinkers alive, his works featured in many prominent journals and publications.
Other key speakers lined-up for the forum include former US Vice-President Al Gore. He will speak on Climate Change and the new global deal. He is one of the most powerful champions of environmental awareness in the world today.
Another speaker will be A.G. Lafley, former chairman of the Board, President and CEO of Proctor & Gamble, the world’s largest consumer goods company. Under Lafley’s leadership, P&G focused on consumer-driven innovation and consistent, reliable, sustainable growth.
About 80 percent of the participants are at VIP level or above, representing companies from every sector of business.
