Ghana's Olympic team upped their preparations for next month's Olympic qualifying game against Burkina Faso with an impressive 4-2 win over premiership side, Real Tamale United on Sunday.
The game at the Kaladan park was the first for the Black Meteors as they prepare to face the Young Stallions in Ouagadougou on February 7.
The Olympic team would seek to pick one of Africa’s three tickets when the qualifiers begin for the Olympic Games to be hosted by China next year.
Goals from Tuaha Khamis, who hit a brace and Emmanuel Allan and Emmanuel Clottey got the remaining two goals to ensure victory for the Olympic team.
And after the game, Cecil Jones Attuquayefio expressed satisfaction with the team's play.
"I am happy with the way things went. We have been trying to make sure that they get used to the weather conditions.
"That was why every player was allowed to enjoy some good minutes of the game. On a whole, I think my boys played. Scoring four goals was good for the team. We would continue with preparations," Jones said.
The Black Meteors would play their second test match on Tuesday with division one side, Lepo Stars.
A 28-man team dominated largely by local talent with eight foreign-based players have been called up though players playing outside the shores of the country are yet to join their colleagues in camp.
