Like our radio and TV counterparts, the events, when they happen, as they happen, we serve them hot on our portal.
Our elders say, 'good beads don't rattle' so we focus on our job and get it done. Unbeknownst to us, the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIMG) was watching.
On Saturday, 29th October, 2022, the MC at the 33rd CIMG Marketing Performance Awards, finally delivered the news that had been conceived by the Awards Committee of the CIMG for a while now. "And the award goes toooooooooo-Myjoyonline".
He was referring to the 'Online News Portal of the Year Award 2021’ and the beautifully decorated hall of the plush Labadi Beach Hotel will go agog- Hurray!!!
The audience, made up of marketing and communication professionals, business moguls, politicians and people from all walks of life could not help but applaud the team from Faanofaa road as they walked chest up to the stage to pick the plaque, certificate and citation.
In the citation, CIMG wrote, ”In the year under review, you set yourself an agenda to create compelling exciting, enthralling content to attract the largest audience wherever they are, through multiple platforms…”
The CIMG added that, "per the estimation of our evaluators, you are on course per your delivery of exceptional value to advertisers and all other stakeholders.”
At the office on Monday, October 30, 2022, the excitement knew no bounds.
So who are those causing our politicians, people in authority, footballers and celebrities to sit at the edge of their seats all the time?
Okay! The suspense is over, meet the force behind the performance.
