The residents of Damongo and its environs were beneficiaries of a medical outreach programme organised by the Medical Rescue Group (MRG) with sponsorship from Deputy Chief of Staff, Abu Jinapor.
The MRG with support from health workers provided a wide range of healthcare services.
This includes screening for breast cancer, hypertension, diabetes, hepatitis B, and the provision of adequate quantities of various medications.
The over thousand clients were screened and provided appropriate medication.
The director of the MRG, Dr Leslie I. Adam-Zakariah was grateful for the tremendous amount of support they received from Mr Jinapor.
He appealed to other well-meaning Ghanaians to support efforts at making quality healthcare more accessible to all Ghanaians everywhere.
The medical outreach programme was heralded by a health walk organised by Naada Ladies through the principal streets of Damongo to raise awareness about the dangers of hepatitis B infection and the benefits of regular exercise.
