The Ministry of the Interior has reminded the public that Tuesday, March 6, which is Independence Day is a statutory public holiday.
A statement signed in Accra by Albert Kan-Dapaah, Minister of the Interior, said President John Agyekum Kufuor has also declared by Executive Instrument, Wednesday March 7 as an additional holiday.
“Tuesday, 6th March and Wednesday 7th March 2007 are therefore public holidays and should be observed as such throughout the country,” the statement said.
