The Nsawam branch of Onyxma Energy Oil Company's manager, Godwin Apoteng, faces charges for allegedly embezzling company funds.
Mr Apoteng was entrusted with GHC53,000 from August 1, 2023 sales, intended for deposit into the Nsawam branch's bank account.
However, he claimed a portion of the money was lost en route due to an incident with his bag.
Subsequently, on September 11, he reported another theft involving GHC86,171, alleging an armed robbery during his journey to the bank.
The company's operations manager, Eric Donald Duvor, expressed dissatisfaction with these events and reported the matter to Nsawam police, leading to Apoteng's recent arraignment on September 15.
