A 24-year-old wood engineer, Francis Boshay, was on Friday remanded in prison custody by a circuit court at Cape Coast for allegedly possessing 25 wrappers of cannabis at Anomabu near Cape Coast.
Boshay pleaded not guilty and he would re-appear on Friday, August 1, 2008.
Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Hope Azasoo told the court, presided over by Mr Richard Asiedu-Badu, that on July 6, 2008 at about 1400 hours, the Anomabu Police had a tip-off that some people were in possession of a large quantity of cannabis in a shed at Egya No1., near Anomabu.
He said on seeing the police, Boshay’s accomplices took to their heels but left him behind.
He said after thorough inspection of the area, 25 wrappers of cannabis were found hidden in the shed.
