A circuit court at Goaso presided by over by Mr Charles Quampah, has sentenced a 22 year old farmer, Musah Busanga, to three years imprisonment for raping a 49 year old woman at Kasapin in Asunafo North district.
The convict had pleaded guilty to the charge and the court ordered him to pay a compensation of GH¢200 to the woman.
Police Inspector, Douglas Asaana, told the court on January 13 this year, the woman went to the public toilet and whilst there Busanga rushed on her and forcibly had sexual intercourse with her.
The woman reported the matter to the police and Busanga was arrested.
