A 30-year-old hunter at Breman Okukrom in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District, who mistook a fellow hunter for a game and shot him dead has been remanded in custody by a magistrate's court at Breman Asikuma.
The plea of Kojo Eyisah was not taken and he will re-appear in court on August 28, 2007.
The court, presided over by Miss Cynthia Hammond, heard that on July 9 this year, the accused went on a hunting expedition in the forest at Breman Baako at about midnight.
The accused claimed he spotted a deer and shot at it but when he got closer, he found out that he had killed Kwesi Ampiah who was hunting for snails.
After the incident, the accused reported to the Breman Asikuma Police.
