Malik Jabir has begun work as Asante Kotoko technical advisor after he was spotted at the training grounds of the club.
Jabir was spotted at the Kotoko’s Adako Jachie training ground last Friday morning and addressed the players after their defeat to New Edubiase in Bekwai.
This follows calls by Operations Manager of the club, George Kennedy, that interim head coach Michael Osei needed technical assistance.
"Your coach and assistants are here because they have the technical know-how to guide you. Take their criticisms in good faith. Don’t feel bad about them or take them personally,” he said.
"You must take his training seriously and abide by his instructions. Those of you who played against Edubiase know the mistakes you committed.
"You must be sincere with yourselves and accept those mistakes and work hard to correct them."
Jabir was coach of the Black Meteors that failed to defend their All African gold title.
