Malaysia have made a request through Ghana's sports ministry for a friendly match with the Black Stars in a home and away format.
Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Vincent Oppong-Asamoah told Adom Sports that the Malaysian government wrote to its Ghanaian counterpart recently. He also explained that a response from the GFA is pending.
“Yes, it is true but we can only authenticate the details when we meet with the GFA, who are the handlers of the Black Stars. For all you know the date might not be convenient for them as they know the calendar better"
An official statement will then be released after details are fine tuned.
The games are expected to take place in November this year and would serve as preps for both teams' next competitive matches.
Malaysia are now ranked 169th in the latest FIFA ranking.
