President-elect John Dramani Mahama has officially announced the members of the 2024 Transition Team, in accordance with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (Act 845).
The team has been tasked with overseeing a smooth transfer of power from the outgoing government to the incoming administration.
This announcement comes as part of efforts to ensure continuity and stability in governance during the transition period.
The Transition Team is composed of a group of accomplished individuals with expertise spanning finance, governance, and public administration.
The team will work collaboratively with representatives of the outgoing government to facilitate a seamless handover of political power, focusing on key aspects of national administration.
The appointed members of the Transition Team include Julius Debrah, who will serve as Co-Chairperson, alongside Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, Dr. Callistus Mahama (Secretary to the Transition Team), Dr. Valerie Sawyer, Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi, Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, Mahama Ayariga, Goosie Tanoh, and Dr. Edward Omane Boamah.
These individuals bring a wealth of experience to the critical role of steering the transition process effectively.
Additionally, the President-elect has nominated Rt. Edward Doe Adjaho as a member of the Transitional Advisory Council.
This advisory body will provide strategic guidance and counsel to the Transition Team, further ensuring the success of the handover process.
