Former president Mahama has remembered his former boss and president Prof John Evans Atta Mills on his birthday.
"You would have been 76 years today, Prof. Though in eternity, memories of your sterling qualities and principled leadership are still fresh with us," the NDC flagbearer said.
Prof Atta Mills died at the 37 Military Hospital three days after his 68th birthday on July 24.
A statement signed by then Chief of Staff, Henry John Martey Newman confirmed his passing.
Eight years on, Mr Mahama has eulogised him saying "You will forever remain in our hearts.
"Yours is a soul that cannot be forgotten, a man we cannot celebrate enough! Happy birthday my comrade, mentor and friend. Continue to rest well, Sir."
