President John Mahama has called upon Ghana's diplomatic and international partners to support the Adwumawura Programme.
Delivering a speech at the launch of the programme in Kumasi, President Mahama emphasised that the Adwumawura Programme is not just a national priority, but a collective endeavour that requires global collaboration.
“To our diplomatic and international partners, the Adwumawura Programme embodies our collective ambition to foster solutions to the national challenge of unemployment,” he said.
“I therefore invite you to partner with us through the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) in resource expertise and logistics to help realise the full promise of this transformative initiative,” he added.
The Adwumawura Programme, which focuses on providing young Ghanaians with the resources, skills, and support needed to launch and sustain businesses, is one of the government's flagship efforts to address the high rate of youth unemployment.
The initiative aims to support 10,000 young Ghanaians aged 18 to 35 in launching and growing their businesses.
