President John Dramani Mahama arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, on Saturday, January 26, aboard Ghana’s presidential jet.
His visit is in line with his participation in a High-Level African Union (AU) Institutional Reforms Retreat.
The retreat brings together African leaders to deliberate on and advance critical reforms aimed at enhancing the Union’s capacity to address pressing challenges on the continent.

President Mahama’s presence highlights Ghana’s active involvement in shaping continental policies and contributing to solutions that promote unity, development, and self-reliance among African nations.
President Mahama’s use of the presidential jet comes in the wake of public criticism over the use of his brother’s private jet for some domestic and international engagements.
The choice of the state aircraft for this official duty demonstrates a response to growing concerns over the appropriateness and transparency of presidential travel arrangements.
