Residents and holidaymakers in Kumasi would be in for a great time if they choose to be in Ghana’s second largest city.
In giving reason to enjoy the yuletide, Luv 99.5Fm and Nhyira 104.5Fm, two leading radio stations on the stables of the Multimedia Group, have planned a number of events to add value to lives and excite listeners.
Live radio programmes and outdoor events are planned for revelers to spend good quality time with family and friends this season.
Your ‘official Christmas station’, Luv Fm, and leading Akan radio station, Nhyira Fm, are already putting the listener in the Christmas mood with specially-selected music and tailored-made entertainment for the season.
Protecting and saving lives
The stations started the yuletide with the regular Road Safety Campaign / Driver Papa Nie to create awareness to reduce accidents this festive season.
The Luv FM and Nhyira FM road safety campaign is in partnership with the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority, the National Road Safety Authority and the Ghana Police Service.
The public service campaign forms part of the stations’ social responsibility to educate motorists, pedestrians and the general public on the effects of road accidents as people travel to celebrate with friends and family.
The stations also collaborated with the Komfo Anokye Blood Bank in a Blood Donation Drive on Saturday, December 2 to save lives and to ensure enough stock at the blood bank for people who will be in need of blood transfusion during the period and beyond.
Something good for children and adults
The little boys and girls will have reason to celebrate the season with excitement and fun-filled activities at the Xmas Kids Party at the Rattray Park on Saturday, December 23.
They will play with the bouncy castle, trampoline, fun-train as they enjoy their face-painting, ice cream, cotton candy, popcorn and learn with Mickey Mouse.
The biggest jamz for the season in Oseikrom is the “Nite with the Stars” on December 25 at Rattray Park.
Fun-lovers will have a date with some of the finest entertainers in the country billed to thrill patrons at the concert.
The ‘maestro’ Kojo Antwi; King Promise; Kidi the girls dem sugar; the prolific Kofi Kinaata; and silky-voice Akwaboah are getting their arts up in readiness for the most exciting musical show this Christmas.
Patrons are promised good packages for spending the night with the stars.
Caring for the underprivileged
On Saturday, December 29, Nhyira Fm will host private and public orphanages in the Ashanti Region to a party as they will receive support from Nhyira Aboodoo, an annual charity event.
The event seeks to make Christmas meaningful for the less privileged, as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.
Cash donations, clothes and food items received from the public to the needy have saved many foster homes from starving.
Ushering families into the New Year
The yuletide will climax with the Family Party in the Park on Monday, January 1, 2022 at the Rattray Park.
The party is the biggest moment for families to have a good day out as mommies, daddies and the children dance to live band music, eat, play and share in the joy of the season.
There surely will be no boring moments this yuletide in the Garden City with Luv Fm and Nhyira Fm.
