Over the last two weeks, the Ghana Health Service has been hinting of a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
According to the GHS, the steady rise in the number of infections has been occasioned by the gross disregard for the relevant COVID-19 safety protocols amongst the populace.
Based on this trend, the Service believes that if care is not taken, the number of cases will shoot up astronomically. Based on this fear, the GHS has decided to modify the terms of certain events in the country, with a possibility of cancelling some.
Following this development, some event organisers have expressed their displeasure with the intentions of the Ghana Health Service.
On tonight's edition of PM Express, Evans Mensah will be speaking to a team of crack health experts and an event organiser, to examine the possible impact of the pandemic on the upcoming Christmas celebrations.
In this regard, he'll be engaging the Head of Health Promotion and Risk Communication on COVID-19 at the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Dacosta Aboagye; President of the Ghana Medical Association, Dr. Frank Serebour; a pharmacist and a research fellow at CDD Ghana, Dr. Kwame Sarpong Asiedu.
The conversation will also feature a prominent figure in the entertainment industry, Sadiq Abdulai Abu; the Chief Executive Officer of 3 Media Networks and organiser of the 3 Music Awards.
