At least 31,000 individuals in nine districts in the Volta Region have been displaced after excess water was spilled from the Akosombo and Kpong dams.
Again, properties and farmlands have been destroyed, schools shut and the economy bought to a standstill in Mepe – the epicentre in the Volta Region – and parts of the Eastern and Greater Accra regions after the dams overflowed at Akosombo and Kpong.
While many have chastised the Volta River Authority (VRA) and government for their role in the flooding after the spillage exercise, some government officials have sought to blame the victims.
This has resulted in a massive debate on social media.
Today, host of Newsfile, Samson Lardy Anyenini and his guests will discuss the impact of the flood and the way forward.
Meanwhile, the latest Global Info Analytics Survey is predicting a run-off in the NPP's Presidential Primaries.
According to the survey, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will win a majority of votes in as many as 13 out of the 16 regions in the race to lead the New Patriotic Party as flagbearer.
But this will be below the 50.1 margin needed.
The team will also discuss the galamsey and corruption menace the country is battling with.
Audience can join the discussion by tuning in to Joy 99.7FM or watch the show on the JoyNews Channel.
