Authorities of Lister Hospital have denied allegations that “professional incompetence and negligence” by its staff contributed to the death of a baby whose mother went there to deliver.
The baby’s mother, Elizabeth Vaah, told Joy News that irregularities in her delivery process, coupled with lack of care by the specialist doctor and his staff resulted in the death of her baby.
Elizabeth and her husband Thomas Vaah had demanded compensation to the tune of two million Ghana cedis (GHC 2,000,000).
However, the hospital said in a statement issued Friday it has in no way been negligent and would not agree with any claim for compensation.
