A sterling performance earned desperate Medeama their first win of the season following a 2-1 defeat of Liberty Professionals in their Premier League game played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The victory, Medeama's first in five matches was spiced with hard work from the Tarkwa-based club who have been under pressure following a poor start in the season.
Godfred Rockson put the visitors ahead in 28 minutes after running solo to beat goalie Stephen Kwaku Odai in post.
Liberty soon came into the picture but Joseph Mensah telepathy with Jafaru Somed could not beat the winners Muntari Tagoe in post.
The homers pressed well in midfield which eventually paid off when Michael Appiah's long range strike pulled Liberty even.
Medeama returned from recess stronger and soon, Hans Kwofie connected well with Godbless Asamoah to seal victory for the visitors.
