Dearly Beloved-in-Christ,
We give God all the glory for the safe landing on our elections and for our new President, H.E Prof. Atta Mills. I was privileged to join the SU group at their prayer meeting on Dec. 20, 2008 for the second round elections. We really prayed and interceded with the brethren for our dear nation. Rev. Aboa-Offei and his intercessory team had done 40 days prayer and fasting, with ten teams which visited all the 10 regional capitals to do serious prophetic action for Ghana. The same team was there for the Dec. 20th prayer meeting that I was privileged to participate in.
During the prayer session, the LORD impressed on me to do an 8-day prayer and fasting program (Dec. 21-28) for the elections. To my disappointment, all my plans for “aponkye nkrakra” and “fufu” (my favourite Ghanaian dish) had to be laid aside for this “divine assignment”. The message from the LORD was to pray that Lucifer would be rebuked by the LORD God for all the blood he wanted to shed in the land. One night after we finished praying and went to bed, my wife, Evelyn received a powerful vision of angelic visitation. She saw two angels in our room and the Star of David shining at its peak on the wall above our bed. In our intercession, we had asked the LORD to send angelic visitation in chariots of fire, to combat Lucifer and prevent him from seizing Ghana’s Throne. When Evelyn woke me up to share the dream, I asked the LORD for the interpretation, and the message was clear! The prayers of the saints had been answered and the warriors of the Holy Cherubim (remember Lucifer is a fallen cherub) had descended to foil Lucifer’s diabolic plans to mess up Ghana.
After the 8-day fast, I thought it was time to go back to my originally planned menu until the crises intensified when the results started tricking in. One could literally smell danger in the air! We had to re-engage and go back to the prayer and fasting altar for more intercession. The third round voting in Tain constituency brought all kinds of rumors and legal battles with it, but we thank God for coming through via President Kufuor’s intervention to calm down the waters. It is really at the altar of prayer that we see Psalm 22:28 come alive --- The Kingdom indeed belongs to God and He is the Governor among the nations. Thank God for all of you saints who positioned yourselves to be part of this wonderful victory the LORD has wrought for us!! In the end, I am convinced that the prayer and fasting were worth it all for all those who faithfully stood in the gap for our mother (or is it father) land?
As I informed us last year, we met with HE President Prof Atta Mills (then opposition leader) at his residence to pray with and anoint him. Then, we tried thrice in vain to do the same for Nana Akufo-Addo. However during the Christmas holidays, one midnight, as I got ready to pray, I got the green light to go over to Nana Akufo-Addo’s residence. We met with him and he gave us appointment for the following day, the eve of the third round of elections, because he was quite busy that night. Finally, we completed the assignment the following day, led him in a prayer of repentance and anointed him with oil.
The LORD’s message to both of them was to instruct them to focus on meeting God’s conditions for rulership, and not to rely too much on popularity and money to win the elections. Whoever passed God’s test for leadership would take the Throne. Unlike the 1999 elections where Mr. Kufuor was specifically mentioned to me as the next President, in this case, I was given the same message for both candidates, and to also inform them that the leadership of Ghana was not about them but about the destiny of an entire nation. This was a very serious matter, and this is why God had laid down conditions for the successful candidate. It was a test from the Almighty God Himself and He was going to decide which of the two candidates would meet those conditions He had set.
I thank God for the wonderful plans He has for our dear nation. It is a wonderful thing to have both men anointed for service to the nation------ the winner to serve as President, and the runner-up to serve as opposition leader. The anointing can only do us good, so let’s thank God for opening the door for us to minister the way He led us. If we would be true intercessors, we need to drop our party affiliations when called upon to minister. God expects Christians to see Christians in all parties because we are the kingmakers on Earth.
Beloved, it is not the politicians who call the shots in the leadership of our nations. Rather, it is intercessors like you and me who are not known to the public eye, who God uses to set forth His agenda for the nations. Who knew about the Prophet Samuel when he anointed Saul and later on, David to be kings of Israel? If we have been qualified by grace to rule and reign with Christ in His Eternal Kingdom, is it any wonder that God can use us as genuine intercessors to set the pace for the nations on this planet?
Sis. Evelyn Djin, the one who translated my generational curses books in to French called me one morning to inform me that she had just completed the translation of the second book (overcoming generational curses), and that she wished Prof. Atta Mills would get a copy of the book to read. For those of you who have obtained copies of the books, please look at pages 180-186 of Understanding Generational Curses and Appendix 2 of Overcoming Generational Curses. In these sections, I address Presidents and Heads of States about how to manage nations in crises, including how to deal with the foundations of nations. Little did Sis. Evelyn Djin know that Prof Atta Mills, our new President, received complimentary copies of the books last year and has informed me that he has read both of them thoroughly. Incidentally, ex-President Kufuor also received complimentary copies of the books some 18 months ago. Once published, we intend to share the French copies of the books with Francophone African leaders and politicians as well.
As God would have it, our new President was coming to the Throne at a time when Ghana would be sharply polarized politically, and the new leader would have the challenge of re-unification and reconciliation of the Ghanaian populace. PLEASE LET US LIFT UP OUR NEW PRESIDENT BEFORE THE THRONE OF GRACE. HE HAS SOME SERIOUS CHALLENGES AHEAD OF HIM, UNFORTUNATELY, SOME OF IT ENGINEERED FROM WITHIN HIS OWN PARTY. THIS IS THE MESSAGE THE LORD GAVE ME FOR HIM WHEN I TALKED TO HIM ON THE PHONE. PLEASE LET US PRAY THAT GOD WILL PROTECT AND PRESERVE HIM TO DO HIS WILL FOR GHANA. I SENSE DANGER AND SOME CONFUSION AHEAD, SO LET’S PRAY THAT GOD WHO BEGAN THIS GOOD WORK, WILL BRING IT TO A SUCCESSFUL END. GHANA MUST FORGE AHEAD!!! NO MORE RETROGRESSION IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME!!! AMEN AND AMEN!!!
We give God the glory opening doors for us to meet these political giants to minister to them in a timely manner. I am looking at the possibility of extracting those sections of the two books into a booklet titled “Peace on Earth, Goodwill toward men: a manual on reconciliation for leaders and politicans”. This can be useful for political leaders and parliamentarians. Please pray with me along these lines, because this book could benefit practically every African nation. I have shared complimentary copies of the Generational Curses Books with Mme. Johnson-Sirlief, ex-President Obasanjo and the First Lady of Sierra Leone, a very anointed woman of God. Please pray for her as she stands by her husband, President Ernest Bai Koroma, in prayer. Sierra Leone has to regain the place it occupied in the colonial days when most of the Ghanaian and African elites (including Ofori Atta I) went to Fourah-Bay College for their college education.
Finally, I met with Mrs. Selassie Williams and I understand that we are making good progress on the Ghana funds “hidden” in Swiss Banks. I cannot share the details now, but please let us pray that God will supervise this Himself to restore to Ghana and Africa all that we have lost in times past. After all, salvation is a repairing of the breach as the Prophet Isaiah has declared. Sooner than later, the oil will flow in Ghana and our monies will be returned. May God give us honest, selfless, destiny-oriented Ghanaians to work together to LIFT HIGH THE FLAG OF GHANA. THIS IS A TALL ORDER BECAUSE WE ARE CALLED TO BE THE PACE SETTERS, NOT ONLY FOR AFRICA, BUT FOR THE ENTIRE BLACK RACE.
Gradually, the vision the LORD gave me on Ghana’s Jubilee Day is beginning to unfold. The victory for the family, the nation, the African continent and the black race is very, very near indeed!
SO, LET US;
PRAY FOR GHANA
PRAY FOR AFRICA AND
PRAY FOR THE BLACK RACE
THAT GOD WILL VISIT US IN THIS GENERATION.
TELL GHANA, AFRICA AND THE BLACK RACE THAT THE SET TIME TO FAVOR THEM HAS COME!!!
LESSONS LEARNED FROM THE RECENT GHANAIAN ELECTIONS
- IT IS GOD WHO APPOINTS LEADERS, NOT MEN OR POLITICAL PARTIES
- IT IS GOD’S WILL THAT CHRISTIANS ARE FOUND IN ALL POLITICAL PARTIES TO PROVIDE A SOOTHING INFLUENCE. AFTER ALL WE ARE CALLED UPON TO BE THE SALT OF THE EARTH
- VOTE FOR YOUR PARTY, BUT BE PREPARED TO CALM DOWN YOUR PARTY IF THEY LOSE; THAT COULD BE GOD’S PERFECT OR PERMISSIVE WILL, SO BE A SALT AND A LIGHT TO YOUR PARTY
- DO NOT ALLOW YOUR PERSONAL AND SELFISH DESIRES TO CLOUD THE BIG PICTURE OF GOD’S PLAN FOR THE NATIONS. THIS FALSE SPIRITUAL POSTURE CAN LEAD YOU TO SEE WRONG VISIONS AND GIVE FALSE PROPHECIES.
- ELECTIONS ARE NOT ABOUT THE LEADERS WE VOTE FOR PER SE, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, ABOUT THE DESTINIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO ARE TO BE LED AND GOVERNED. ABRAHAM WAS VERY MYOPIC ABOUT WHO WOULD INHERIT HIM WHEN GOD TALKED ABOUT MAKING HIM THE FATHER OF MANY NATIONS. HE POINTED TO ELEAZER, HIS SERVANT WHEN GOD WAS THINKING ABOUT YOU AND ME (THROUGH ISAAC) AS PART OF THE ABRAHAMIC FAMILY UNDER THE NEW COVENANT.
- IF YOUR PARTY DOES NOT WIN ELECTIONS, IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOUR PRAYER FOR SAFE ELECTIONS HAVEN OT BEEN ANSWERED BY GOD. GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS AND SOMETIMES “NO” IS ALSO AN ANSWER TO PRAYER!!!!
