RC Celta de Vigo v Cádiz CF
- Celta Vigo have lost just one of their last eight meetings with Cádiz in LaLiga (W3 D4), 1-2 on Cadiz’s last league visit to Balaídos.
- Celta Vigo have not drawn any of their eight LaLiga home games against Cádiz (W6 L2), playing more home games without a draw than against any other opponent in the competition.
- Cádiz have not lost any of their last three meetings with Celta Vigo in all competitions (W1 D2), having lost each of their previous four meetings with the Galician side.
- Cádiz have lost just 14 per cent of their LaLiga matches on Friday (1/7), with all seven coming away from home. It’s their lowest losing percentage on any day of the week in the top-flight.
- Celta Vigo won their last LaLiga match, 1-0 at Girona, after failing to win any of their previous three (D1 L2) - they have not won two in a row in the competition since last January (2).
- Cádiz have lost their last three LaLiga games, failing to score in all three - they have not lost four or more in a row without scoring in the top-flight since February 1990 (6).
- Celta Vigo's Iago Aspas has scored in each of the first three games in LaLiga 2022-23 (three goals in total) and could become only the second player to score in the Celta’s first four games in a top-flight campaign in their history after 1947-48 when Pahiño scored in the first six (nine goals).
- Cádiz striker Lucas Pérez has scored three goals in 10 meetings with Celta Vigo in LaLiga, two with Deportivo La Coruña and one with Alavés. The Galician could be the third side he has scored against for three different teams in the competition, after Athletic Club and Levante.
- Celta Vigo have kept a clean sheet in 75 per cent of their LaLiga games against Cádiz under Eduardo Coudet (W1 D2 L1), equalling his highest percentage of clean sheets against the same opponent with at least three games (Athletic Club 75 per cent - W2 D1 L1).
- Cádiz coach Sergio González has not lost any of his last seven matches against Celta Vigo in LaLiga (W1 D6), his best unbeaten run against the same opponent as a top-flight manager and his longest streak of consecutive draws (five).
RCD Mallorca v Girona FC
- This will be the first meeting between Mallorca and Girona in LaLiga. The Balearic side have lost just one of their last six opening games against top-flight opposition (W4 D1) and the Catalans have lost none of their last four such matches (W2 D2).
- Mallorca have won three of their last four meetings with Girona in all competitions, as many victories as in their previous 11 encounters (D4 L4). In addition, the Balearic side have won two in a row against the Catalans for the first time in their history.
- Girona have won just one of their seven away games against Mallorca in all competitions (D2 L4), 1-0 in May 2015 in LaLiga SmartBank.
- Mallorca have won three of their last five LaLiga matches (D1 L1) having won just two of their previous 13 in the competition (D1 L10).
- Girona have lost each of their last six LaLiga away games, having won in the previous three - their longest consecutive away losing streak in the top-flight.
- Mallorca are the only team to have scored more than one headed goal in LaLiga 2022-23 – four of their last eight goals in the competition have been headers, with three of them scored by Vedat Muriqi.
- Girona have an average possession figure in LaLiga 2022-23 of 58 per cent, the sixth highest by a team this season and their highest in a top-flight campaign (46.7 per cent in 2017-18 and 47.7 per cent in 2018-19).
- Mallorca's Ángel Rodríguez has scored four goals in 14 meetings with Girona in all competitions, including two goals in his last two games, both of which came for Getafe in LaLiga in 2018-19.
- Mallorca's Vedat Miriqi and Girona's Cristhian Stuani are the players who have committed the most fouls in LaLiga this season without picking up a single yellow card, along with Valencia's Samu Castillejo (eight each).
- Mallorca coach Javier Aguirre will face Girona for the first time in LaLiga. It is also the first time that the Catalan side's current coach, Míchel Sánchez, will face Mallorca in his coaching career in all competitions.
Real Madrid CF v Real Betis Balompié
- Real Madrid have gone four LaLiga games in a row without losing against Real Betis (W2 D2), keeping a clean sheet in the last three (W1 D2). Only once in history have they gone more league games without conceding against Real Betis (October 2005-September 2007).
- Real Madrid have not won any of their last five LaLiga home games against Real Betis (D3 L2) and could equal their worst winless run at home against the same opponent in the history of the competition (six against Valencia in March 1948 and Atlético de Madrid in September 2018).
- Real Betis have kept a clean sheet in each of their last five LaLiga away games against Real Madrid (W2 D3), making them the only team in the competition's history not to have conceded in five successive league visits to Los Blancos.
- Real Madrid have won their first three games of a season in LaLiga for the sixth time in the 21st century, the previous time being in 2018/19. Los Blancos have gone on to win the title on five of the last seven occasions they have won their first four league games of the season (1961-62, 1962-63, 1968-69, 1987-88 and 2016-17).
- Real Betis are unbeaten in their last six LaLiga matches (W5 D1), keeping five clean sheets, including winning all three they have played in the current campaign - they have not started a top-flight season with four wins since 2011/12 (W4).
- The two LaLiga teams with the highest shot conversion rate in the current campaign - Real Madrid (18.7 per cent) and Real Betis (14.1 per cent) - meet in this fixture, a higher percentage than they averaged in the last league campaign (Real Madrid 12.2 per cent and Real Betis 12 per cent).
- Real Betis have scored four of their six goals in LaLiga this season in the first half - they have scored the most goals before half-time in the competition in the current campaign.
- Borja Iglesias (5) and Juanmi (4) have scored Real Betis' last nine LaLiga goals between them - the last three away goals in the competition have been scored by Borja Iglesias.
- Real Madrid's Vinicius Júnior has been involved in three goals in his last two LaLiga games (two goals, one assist) - only Karim Benzema (21) and Iago Aspas (17) have more goal involvement than the Brazilian in LaLiga competition in 2022 (16 - nine goals, seven assists).
- Real Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini has won just 15.8 per cent of his games against Real Madrid in LaLiga (G19 W3 D7 L9), his lowest percentage against the same opponent he has faced on at least three occasions in the competition.
Real Sociedad v Club Atlético de Madrid
- Real Sociedad have not won in their last five games against Atlético de Madrid in LaLiga (D2 L3), conceding just two goals in each of the last four - they have not gone six or more in a row without a win against Los Rojiblancos in the competition since March 1987 (L7).
- Atlético de Madrid have won on their last two visits to Real Sociedad in LaLiga, having lost in three of their previous four meetings with them in the top-flight (W1) - they have not drawn at the Reale Arena in the competition since November 1997 (0-0).
- Atlético de Madrid have lost in three of their last four visits to Basque sides in LaLiga (W1), as many defeats as in their previous 12 away games against these sides (W7 D2 L3).
- Real Sociedad have lost their last two home games in LaLiga, including a defeat to Atlético Madrid last May, and have not lost three in a row at home in the top-flight since February 2007 (L4).
- Atlético de Madrid have won on their last four trips in LaLiga, keeping a clean sheet in three of them - since 2014/15 they have only recorded five successive away wins in the competition (five in February 2021).
- Only Real Betis (182) have led for more minutes in LaLiga this season than Real Sociedad (136).
- Real Sociedad's David Silva has scored three goals against Atlético de Madrid in LaLiga, his highest tally against the same opponent in the competition (also three against Real Valladolid and Real Zaragoza).
- Atlético de Madrid's Antoine Griezmann has scored two goals in three games in LaLiga 22-23, just one fewer than in the whole of last season (three goals in 29 games) - he has been involved in a goal in each of his last three visits to the Reale Arena in the competition (two goals and an assist).
- Atlético de Madrid's Álvaro Morata has been involved in at least one goal in each of his last three games against Real Sociedad in LaLiga (three goals and one assist), including a brace on his only visit to the Reale Arena with the Red-And-Whites (March 2019).
- Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil has lost four of his eight LaLiga games in charge against Atlético de Madrid’s Diego Simeone (W2 D2), his highest number of defeats against a single manager in the top-flight.
Sevilla FC v FC Barcelona
- Since the start of the 2007-08 season, Sevilla have won just one of their 30 games against Barcelona in LaLiga (D8 L21), their lowest tally against the same opponent they have faced on at least three occasions in this period.
- After back-to-back home wins over Barcelona in LaLiga in 2006 and 2007, Sevilla have won just one of their last 15 meetings against the Blaugrana at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán in the competition (D6 L8), 2-1 in October 2015.
- Barcelona are unbeaten in their last seven visits to Andalusian sides in LaLiga (W4 D3), their longest unbeaten run away to them in the competition since February 2014 (G25 W20 D5).
- Sevilla have taken just one point from a possible nine in their three LaLiga 2022-23 games (D1 L2), their lowest tally at this stage of the campaign since 1981-82 (D1 L2).
- Barcelona have not lost in the first three games of LaLiga 2022-23 and have taken seven points from a possible nine (W2 D1), and have conceded just one goal in these matches, their lowest tally at this stage of the campaign in the last five seasons (also one in 2020-21).
- Sevilla (65.2 per cent) and Barcelona (64.6 per cent) are the two teams with the highest average possession figure in LaLiga this season. The Azulgrana side is also the team that has made the most build attacks in the competition in 2022-23 with 17, nine more than Sevilla (8).
- Sevilla have lost 40.9 per cent of the games they have played without Jules Koundé in LaLiga since 2019-20 (9/22), compared to just 12.6 per cent with the current Barcelona defender in the team since then (12/95).
- Papu Gomez has failed to score a goal in his last 10 LaLiga games, his longest scoreless streak in the competition since joining Sevilla.
- Barcelona's Ousmane Dembélé has been involved in a goal in each of his last five games against Sevilla in LaLiga (two goals and three assists).
- Barcelona are the opponent against whom Sevilla coach Julen Lopetegui has managed the most games in LaLiga without a win (G7 W0 D3 L4).
