The end of another week is here and as usual, the entertainment world was flooded with lots of new developments, some good, some bad.
On Saturday, May 11, Ghana woke up to the news of the death of actor Chris Attoh’s wife.
Bettie Jenifer was killed, by an unidentified male on Friday, May 10, while leaving her office in Maryland in the US after work.

Chris Attoh who was filming in Los Angeles had to leave the movie set and fly to Maryland.

Developments coming in on Monday, May 13 indicated that Bettie Jenifer was also married to another man. Although they were going through a divorce, the proceedings were not final.
It was also made known that her husband Kedrick Jenifer is a convicted Baltimore drug lord currently serving 20 years in prison for importing large amounts of cocaine into Baltimore from Texas.

On the other side of the world, John Dumelo was getting married to the woman of his dreams and mother of his child, Gifty Mawunya Nkornu.
Although the couple had their traditional wedding in May 2018, their white wedding took place on Saturday, May 11 at the Royal Senchi Hotel in Akosombo. The star-studded wedding saw appearances from Jackie Appiah, James Gardiner, Nadia Buari and Fred Nuamah.

On Sunday, May 12, Joy FM gave mothers a special treat at the Labadi Beach Hotel. Patrons were treated to authentic music, local and continental dishes as well as fun games with attractive prizes for winners. They also had the opportunity to interact with on-air personalities in the Multimedia Group.

Celebrities were also not going to let the Mother’s Day go by without sending heart-warming wishes and prayers to their mums.

Musicians Shatta Wale and Fancy Gadam also won awards at the International Reggae and World Music Awards. Shatta Wale’s ‘Gringo’ won the ‘Best Music Video’ while the artiste was adjudged Afro Beats Artist of the Year. Fancy Gadam also won the ‘Most Promising Entertainer’.

Stonebwoy in an interview on Showbiz A-Z had said Samini should be awarded Artiste of the Decade at the upcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Rapper Kwesi Arthur’s father said he feared his son would be addicted to gambling at a young age. Mr Danso Arthur said Kwesi and his brothers frequented game centres which doubled as gambling spots.
