Okwawu United of USA and Canada, a social club of Kwahu citizens in North America, has presented two washing machines, a dryer, stethoscopes and some drugs valued at 5,000 dollars to the Atibie Government Hospital.
Presenting the items on behalf of the club Mr Michael Essuman, the Secretary General of Okwawu United, said the donation was to support the rehabilitation of the laundry department of the hospital.
He said the club had adopted the Gynaecological Ward of the hospital for the past eight years and had been making annual presentations to the ward.
Mr Essuman said this year the club would build a ¢250 million school block at Kwahu Nteso.
Nana Kofi Onwona Asante, Kwahu South District Chief Executive who received the items, thanked the club for the donation.
