Kwadwo Asamoah has been omitted from Inter Milan’s 2019/20 Europa League squad for the knockout stages, signalling a possible exit from the club.
The Ghanaian international has been battling with injuries since the end of 2019 and as a result, struggled to establish himself in the left-back position under Antonio Conte. He has made just 11 appearances in all competitions this campaign after amassing 42 in the previous season.
In his absence, Antonio Conte has leaned on Ashley Young and Victor Moses, leaving the 31-year-old in a tight spot despite recently recovering from his injury.
Antonio Conte submitted a 28-man list for the business end of the Europa League but left Asamoah out whilst keeping Young and Moses in the squad.
The former Udinese man has been linked with a move to Turkish giants Fenerbache this summer and is reportedly on Inter’s transfer list. He has made 74 caps for the Black Stars.
Inter will battle for a quarter-final place when they face Getafe in a single-leg fixture at a neutral ground.
