Two security details sustained slight injuries when the president Kufuor's convoy got involved in an accident at Akon near Offinso in the Ashanti Region.
But DSP Safo Peprah Ashanti Regional Commander of the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) said it was a minor accident, from a technical problem.
He confirmed President Kufuor was part of the convoy but was not affected by the accident, adding the two security details are okay and have joined the team.
Explaining to Joy news the circumstances under which the accident occurred, DSP Peprah said the vehicle in question veered off the road and landed in a small gutter due to brake failure.
