President John Agyekum Kufuor has applauded the former President of Mozambique Joachim Chissano for his services to humanity in retirement.
He said he is a good example of African leadership.
"We would all seek to emulate your (example) when our time comes", President Kufuor said, when the former leader paid a courtesy call on him at the Castle, Osu.
Mr Chissano in retirement has been playing frontline role to bring peace to trouble spots in the southern parts of Africa.
He is in Ghana to attend a conference on democracy, which opens at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Accra on Friday, May 4.
It is being organised by the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA).
Mr Chissano expressed admiration for the high level of infrastructure development taking place in the country.
