Music duo, Keche, have explained their silence on the music scene in Ghana in 2018.
The group admitted that the presence of Kuami Eugene, KiDi, Kurl Songs, King Promise and others kicked them out of business that year.
In an interview on DaybreakHitz on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty, they said the new crop of artistes greatly dominated the music industry, which has made it difficult for Keche to be noticed.
”It was slow. Things didn’t really go for Keche….That was when the Kuami Eugene, KiDi, King Promise were that loud. So the attention was on them.”
’’You can’t shine everyday…they are still performing. Ghana when you don’t have hits people tag you as irrelevant in the music industry,” Keche Andrew said.
The music group made up of Keche Joshua and Keche Andrew only released a song in 2018.
”We released ‘Shame On You’ in 2018. We did our best trying to put it out there promoting but then I think it wasn’t just a good year for us,” Keche Joshua admitted.
The music duo also revealed that they got back on track when Golden Empire Media founded by Keche Andrew’s wife, Joana Gyan, invested in their music in 2019.
The group is currently promoting their 2020 banger titled ‘Same Girl’ which features Akwaboah.
