Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko star, Ebo Mends, was on Monday officially introduced to the teeming supporters of the Porcupine Warriors as the new Coach of the Club.
He replaces Paa Kwesi Fabian and has been given a two-year contract.
Dr Kofi Koduah Sarpong, the Board Chairman, said they settled on him after a long and careful search.
According to him, the board was confident he would deliver joy to the Club's loyal supporters by restoring Kotoko to its former all-conquering form that struck fear and awe in their opponents.
Dr Sarpong asked the supporters to give Coach Mends their total support and every needed encouragement to succeed.
The new Coach said he was grateful to the Board for the opportunity, appealling for the cooperation of both the board and the supporters.
Ebo Mends, 48, played for Kotoko for five years before leaving the country for a coaching course.
He was with Berekum Arsenal during the last premier league season.
