Asante Kotoko'S Burkinabe goalkeeper, Soulama Abdoulaye is expected to visit the National Security offices in Accra Thursday December 17, 2009.
The embattled goalie is expected to answer questions on why he attacked a National Security operative last Sunday, after keeping the post for his club in a league game against Hearts of Oak.
A Kotoko source who disclosed this to Daily Guide Sports said the Kumasi-based team had sternly rebuked the goalkeeper for the unfortunate incident that occurred at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra minutes after Kotoko lost 1-0 to rivals Hearts.
The source however prayed the National Security officials to temper justice with mercy "since the player had mistaken the man who was wearing mufti to be a mere sports fan".
Meanwhile, Daily Guide Sports has gathered that the PLB would refer the matter to the Disciplinary Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to investigate the case and take the necessary actions.
Asante Kotoko have also written to the National Security, begging passionately for forgiveness on behalf of Goalkeeper Soulama.
On Sunday, just after Referee Joseph Macarthy whistled for the end of the game, Soulama rushed towards him in an attempt to confront him for alleged bias, however he was prevented by security men, one of who was in plain clothes. Frustrated at the man's refusal to allow him get close to the referee, Soulam attacked the security man, pushing him onto the pitch in the process. A fierce fight ensued before others restrained the two parties.
