Kumasi Asante Kotoko has defeated their visiting counterpart, EI Merreikh of Sudan, by alone goal at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday in the group stages of this year's Confederation Cup.
Even though, the Porcupine Warriors were on top of the game throughout the 90 minutes, however, their impressive performance only paid off in the last minutes when their lead striker, Eric Bekoe connected home their only goal.
Kotoko needed a win by all cost to keep alive their dream of progressing to the semi-final place, having lost to Etoile du Sahel in Sousse in an away match.
