Asante Kotoko deputy coach Godwin Ablordey was not happy with the performance of referee Issaka Afful after their 2-1 loss to Medeama.
The Porcupine Warriors were beaten in Tarkwa on Wednesday, their first defeat in 27 years in the Western region.
But Ablordey felt his side were not worthy of defeat and accused the official for aiding the Mauves and Yellows.
The fast-rising referee awarded the home side two penalties in the second half which was converted by Paul Aidoo to hand Medeama victory and denied them a ''correct goal'' in the first half.
“What is happening in Ghana football is sad if this is how referees are going to officiate games,” he said in a post-match conference.
''We scored a correct goal in the first half but he surprisingly disallowed the goal, Kotoko would have won the game if the goal had stood''
“Against Hearts of Oak there was a dubious penalty and today too the first penalty was a dubious one.”
“It is sad for Ghana football but we will just forget about the defeat and move on.”
Kotoko are now 3rd on the league table with 18 points from 10 games.
