Ghana Midfielder Laryea Kingston says returnee stars from Europe must be encouraged to finish their careers in the local league.
According to Laryea Kingston who has just left Israeli Club, Hapoel Beer Sheva due to contractual disagreements, the league will grow more popular with star names like himself playing their last years at home.
He told joy sports that, if these players are encouraged to comeback, it will generate the interest of soccer fans trooping to the various stadia to see their stars.
“At the moment we don’t have key players in the league and that is a major problem to the development of the local league.
I think Ghanaian players abroad should be encouraged to end their career here to help raise the standard of the league,” Kingston told JOY Sports
The 31 year old continues to dream of a return to former club Hearts of Oak.
