Kingston hits out at ex-Hearts coach

Ghana and Hearts midfielder Laryea Kingston has hit out at former coach of the side Csaba Laszlo for allegedly trying to oust him at the Scottish club. The 29-year-old’s days at Tynecastle looked numbered after he fell out with Laszlo, but the January arrival of Jim Jefferies has given him a new lease of life. Laszlo repeatedly questioned Kingston’s commitment to Hearts, with the player persistently injured and quoted as saying he would always put his country before his club. But the Ghanaian international insists it was an orchestrated attempt by the coach who wanted fans to turn on their favourite player. Kingston said: “I promise you, every injury I have had at this club, I have evidence of. “I have the scans, my medical records and everything is there. It’s true. “I have never feigned injuries, even since I was young. I love football and I wanted to play every minute.” Of Laszlo, he added: “He gave me a tough time. “I know he has been saying Kingston is not committed to Hearts but that was wrong. “Every time I got injured, people were thinking ‘this is Kingston doing this’. That was because of what Csaba said. “A lot of people only know one side of the story, they didn’t know what was really happening.” Kingston who played for Hearts in his home country insists he is truly in love with his Scottish because he supported them even before joining them because of the name which is similar to that of the Ghanaian side.
