Home-based shot stoppers Daniel Agyei and Ernest Sowah have been called up to join Norway based Adam Larsen Kwarasey as the goalkeeping options. Two new defenders who could make their debuts are Masawudu Alhassan of Serie A side Genoa and Yaw Frimpong of Asante Kotoko. Winger Quincy Owusu Abeyie makes a return to the Black Stars while Bristol City midfielder Albert Adomah gets another call up into the team alongside Abu Mohammed who plays for Norwegian club Stromgodset. Al Ain striker Asamoah Gyan made the squad alongside Turkey based duo Prince Tagoe and Dominic Adiyiah.
