Three managers of Kinapharma Pharmaceutical Company, who were arrested on Thursday, have been provisionally charged with unlawful possession of substances suspected to be narcotics.
The three managers of the company, including Managing Director Kofi Nsaih Poku, were arrested on Thursday for possessing the prohibited substance.
They were picked up by a combined police and Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) team.
Joy News sources say the whitish chemicals have since been sent to the Ghana Standards Board for further testing.
Meanwhile NACOB Public Relations Officer, Francis Amoah, explains tests conducted Thursday night show the chemical may have been tampered with.
Superintendent Sylvester Bouyoh, who led Thursday’s operation, told Joy News that earlier tests conducted on the substance showed “there was little suspicion of [it] being cocaine.”
