Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has stated that co-owned midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng will stay at Milan next season as the league leaders are happy with his contribution to their title tilt.
The Ghana international signed for Genoa from Portsmouth in August 2010 but was immediately loaned out to the San Siro club for the season.
Speaking with Radio Kiss Kiss, Preziosi said of the player: “Boateng has had an excellent season. AC Milan are keen to keep him on the basis of previous agreements.”
The Stadio Luigi Ferraris chief ruled out a return for Boateng, adding: “If all goes smoothly, then there should be no problems. He certainly won’t return to Genoa.”
The ex-Tottenham and Hertha Berlin man has featured 28 times this season in all competitions for Massimiliano Allegri’s side, scoring three goals.
