AC Milan say they have reached a deal with Genoa that makes Ghana midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng their bonafide player now.
Boateng was part-owned by Milan and Genoa, but will now become a fully-owned Milan player for €7-million depending on whether Milan win the Italian League title.
“He is our player. Genoa’s stake has been valued at €6-million, which will rise to €7-million in case Milan win the Scudetto,” Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani told Il Corriere dello Sport.
“The deal was already defined in a restaurant some months ago in Rio de Janeiro. He is in all effects a Milan player as there is an agreement with Genoa.”
Boateng has impressed for Milan in his first season, weighing in with a series of fine displays that has helped the club inch closer to their first League title in five years.
