Kumasi-based Kessben FC beat fellow Premier League side Gamba All Blacks of Swedru 1-0 in a friendly soccer match played at the Anane Boateng Park at Abrankese near Kuntanase in the Ashanti Region on Sunday.
The two teams both played strongly during the scoreless first half missing several scoring chances that came their way.
Kessben however lifted up their game in the second half and went ahead to earn a spot kick in the 76th minute but Ahmed Toure shot off target.
The former Asante Kotoko striker, however, made amends by scoring the winning goal for Kessben in the 87th minute in a goalmouth scramble.
