As if to confirm findings of the survey, Doctors at the Winneba Government Hospital are raising alarm over the high incidence of defilement cases reported to the facility.
Officials of the medical facility which serves parts of the central region, say girls between 5 and 14 years mainly fall victim to defilement.
The situation is said to be most prevalent in Kasoa.
A 4-year-old and an 18 year-old on Monday reported to the hospital with
similar cases.
The medical officer in charge of the Winneba Government Hospital Dr. Dodi Abdullah blames the situation on poor parenting.
