This focus led the brand to kickstart the foremost edition of the Kanekalon High School Drive in Ghana.
This initiative focused on three strong pillars of career and life coaching, monetizing and using social media for good and best hair care tips for females.
The team visited a total of three high schools together with three seasoned speakers for each of the three main topics. Their first stop was St. John’s Grammar Senior High School in Accra, then moved on to Krobo Girls Presbyterian Senior High School in the Eastern and finally made their last stop at St. Mary’s Senior High School also in Accra on the 29th of June, 2022.

Aside from talks and insights shared, the program was interspersed with talent show battles as well as music breaks to keep the students active and energized for each session. Winners were chosen by the cheers and shouts of student populace and all participants and winners including students who asked questions were rewarded with souvenirs and packages from Kanekalon and its partners.
The last school stop - St. Mary’s Senior High stood out among the lot as they crowned their program with a Kanekalon sponsored beauty pageant. The event was preceded by a red carpet show for the ladies and was said to be a night of glamour and fashion.
The students were permitted to attend the event with their gowns and dresses to match the occasion. Miss Queenstar, a final year art student emerged as the face of the beauty pageant and together with the 1st and 2nd runner up were awarded with cash prizes and packages from Kanekalon and its partners.
