The chief and people of Kade in the Kwabibirem District of the Eastern Region have honoured a retired Senior Medical Assistant of the Kade Government Hospital, Mr John Michael Aikins, for his immense contributions and dedicated service to the town.
In a citation presented to him at Kade recently, Mr Aikins was described as someone who has constantly shown love and support to the welfare of Kademan, which has given the people strength to carry on with their developmental agenda.
Mr Aikins, who retired from the hospital in 1993 after 16 years service worked in the Ministry of Health for a total of 40 years.
In another development, the Kade Government Hospital has also recognized Mr Aikins for his commitment, dedication and hard work to the hospital.
Describing him as a role model, the District Director of Health Service, Dr Patrick Amo-Mensah said Mr Aikins 40 year's continuous service to the Ghana Health Service without break, was a good example and should be emulated.
Mr Aikins expressed his appreciation to the Chief and People of Kade as well as the Hospital for recognizing his "little contributions" to the society.
